THE BLAIR HITCH

Phil Gould, the mastermind behind Tony Blair’s election victory in 1997, has been named in an Israeli criminal investigation into corrupt election funding. This centres on Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s sweep to power in 1999.

Described by the Daily Mail as a regular visitor to the ‘Blair Lair’ in Downing Street, Phil Gould was identified by Israeli judge Eliezer Goldberg probing illegal international donations to Barak’s election campaign.

POLICE INVESTIGATION

The judge, who is Israel’s most senior law enforcement official, has ordered a police investigation after he unearthed evidence of a secret system of channelling funds to get Barak elected. The incumbent Prime Minister’s party has already been fined £2 million over the secret funding.

Senior Israeli politicians could now face criminal charges which may reveal that both Blair and President Clinton were illegally involved in bringing their close friend Ehud Barak to power.

CLANDESTINE LONDON MEETINGS

Of those accused is Barak’s closest confidant Moshe Gaon He is accused of accepting airline tickets from Blair’s advisor, Phil Gould, to fly to Britain for campaign strategy meetings.

The British public might want to know why top officials of another country’s political party are flying to London to organise electoral strategy meetings where the illegal channelling of millions of dollars in campaign funds was organised.

The Israeli opposition to Barak’s party, the Likud Party reveals that yet another of Tony Blair’s closest advisors, Lord Levy was linked to the illegal funding of Barak’s Labour Party.

LORD LEVY

Their spokeswoman Limor Livnat said: "The State Comptroller’s revelation that Mr Gould may have been involved in paying for a trip by Barak’s campaign advisors raises very serious questions about possible interference by the British Labour Party in the Israeli election".

What British people are increasingly asking is what exactly is the Blair hitch? What are Israel’s Labour Party’s interests in getting Blair elected. They are not doing it out of the goodness of their Hebrew hearts. What are they asking in return?

WHO IS MICHAEL ABRAHAM LEVY?

Michael Abraham Levy, 55, is Tony is a ‘star-maker’ who specialises in taking the untalented from obscurity and launching them to stardom. He is the man who can convince the mob that the naked king’s raiment is really so fine that only the wise can see it.

This mover and shaker of the recording studio world took one unknown pop singer and having given him a name, launched him to international stardom. Anyone who can do that with the ridiculously named and poorly talented Alvin Stardust can of course do likewise with another failed student pop star by the equally unlikely name of Tony Blair.

HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL DAY CONNECTION

The Baron Levy of Barnet, apart from being a key advisor, fund raiser and tennis partner to Tony Blair, is also a former Chairman of the Jewish Care Community Foundation, a member of the Jewish Agency World Board of Governors – and a trustee of the Holocaust Educational Trust. Hardly surprisingly Britain has recently had a ‘Holocaust Memorial Day foisted on it’. Get the connection?

THE NAMES OVER THE SHOP DOORWAY

Lord Levy also suffers from persistent jet lag for it is Abraham who (un-elected though he may be) commutes on Phoney Tony’s 10 Downing Street and various Middle East states including Israel and Syria, trips in which he negotiates Britain’s foreign policy. You still think you live in an elected democracy?

As a front man Tony Blair has unquestioned ability. Double-glazing promotion companies must drool over the British (or is it English Prime Minister). He has boyish charm, charisma and a sincerity that sets ladies hearts a flutter. But increasingly it appears that the artful dodger plucked from obscurity is the dummy in the British shop window of a store that has the name ‘Barak, Gaon, Herzog, Levy & Partners’ over the doorway.
